The Executioner Trilogy

"The Executioner Trilogy," has been my brain child since my sophomore year in high school. I have finally brought it to light with part 1 of 3, that is now available for purchase for the Nook.

The first installment is entitled, "Flowers of Evil." Here is a small summary so you know what it's about.

“Flowers of Evil” is the story about two young women who are destined to save the world from the reign of the first vampire, Lilith. It has been foretold in Gypsy folklore centuries before these two were every born. It is based in Los Angeles, CA in the millennium and contains that fast pace L.A. is known for. Robin, known as the Executioner, is the killer of the undead who is struggling to juggle her life and love. That is, until she runs into Gordon. The maniacal demon turned good. Together, they must stop Lilith before it’s too late, at any cost.

Flowers of Evil, Les Fleurs du Mal as Charles Baudelaire would say, has a fascinating preposition and theme. Don't be put off by the chick lit genre. This is not a soppy, candy bar sucking, over- indulgence in heart string tugging and hunks swishing damsels in distress off their tiny feet. Far from it, Flowers of Evil is deep and heavy as the title suggests. It is the incarnation of folklore brought to life, the translation of vague mysteries into tangible encounters, and the construction of gore and grim endings.
